The Boeing Global Enterprise Sustainability team is seeking a Supply Chain Sustainability and Business Architect team member to support a statement of work addressing enterprise scale compliance obligations and conveying business needs to digitally enable processes and reporting. The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for stakeholder management, systems thinking, portraying enterprise scale complex architectures and translating business process owner needs into prioritized IT system requirements / roadmap. The team is open to both an associate-level and experienced-level Supply Chain Sustainability and Business Architect candidates. This position can be located in Tukwila, WA; Hazelwood, MO; Seal Beach, CA; or Mesa, AZ.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

The role will perform two main statements of work for the Global Enterprise Sustainability (GES) organization supporting technical leads and reporting to the Sr. Manager of Enterprise Supply Chain Sustainability. The first statement of work addresses enterprise scale supply chain compliance obligations such as human rights due diligence, various product transparency disclosures, and supply chain aspects in corporate sustainability and greenhouse gas emissions reporting. The second statement of work addresses collaboration with Global Enterprise Sustainability team members and IT function partners to define stakeholder needs for digitally enabling business processes and reporting. This work statement will entail engaging Sr. Managers and Executives to understand priorities and working with business process owners to translate their needs into actionable requirements for IT function partners.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support technical leads addressing supply chain relevant compliance obligations related to global human rights due diligence, product transparency and regulated sustainability disclosures.

  • Mapping enterprise supply chain master data IT systems, process documentation and stakeholders for data and compliance controls integration.

  • Participating in industry collaboration forums addressing common supply chain sustainability compliance obligations.

  • Collaborating with Global Enterprise Sustainability organization stakeholders to map and prioritize digital enablement needs to meet compliance obligations and business process transformation objectives.

  • Represent the Global Enterprise Sustainability “voice of the business” to IT function partners clarifying digital enablement objectives, priorities and requirements.

  • Development and governance of key business architectures holistically representing processes, data attributes and IT systems required by compliance obligations and organization objectives.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • A proactive approach to planning and advancing work packages based on technical lead / manager guidance and project management best practices.

  • Methodical and persistent approach to addressing enterprise scale statements of work requiring integrating pieces of information into a holistic view (e.g. systems of systems).

  • Effective communication skills for engaging virtually with a diverse range of global stakeholders to build relationships, understand business needs and obtain information / insights. Translating stakeholders input into a guiding vision with clarification of minimum viable product concepts along the vision trajectory.

  • Embracing an audit ready mindset when designing processes / IT system functionality and producing deliverables that are related to compliance obligations

  • Ability to pivot from detailed architecture / requirements documentation and IT centric language to simplified communications depending on the audience.

  • Working collaboratively with others on shared objectives and identifying process improvement opportunities.

  • Continuous learning about sustainability related compliance obligations affecting the enterprise and The Boeing Company’s organizational structure.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • 3+ years of experience in the areas of sustainability, supply chain sustainability, compliance, business architecture or user centered design

  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite and Visio

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in the areas of sustainability, supply chain sustainability, compliance, business architecture or user centered design

  • Experience with representing complex systems-of-systems architectures conveying business processes, IT systems and data

  • Experience in user centered design practices to translate business needs into IT system requirements to enable business objectives and compliance obligations

  • Project management certification

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Level 2 Summary Pay Range: $79,050 - $115,000

Level 3 Summary Pay Range: $99,450 - $143,750
