Boeing Defense is currently looking for Materials Coordinator to join our team in Tukwila, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Reviews master schedule and/or shortage report to notify Operations and Materials Management stakeholders of potential problems

  • Coordinate parts, issues, and resolution with a variety of organizations such as Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Fabrication, and other areas to work towards minimizing production problems

  • Work with multiple organizations to determine root cause analysis of discrepancies and/or shortages and take the action necessary to maintain a scheduled flow of parts

  • Reallocate and/or adjust systems to reflect compliant paperwork for unitized parts

  • For assigned manufacturing department, coordinate equipment, tooling, and shop materials accountability issues with a variety of organizations such as Manufacturing, Engineering, Fulfillment, Tooling, Fabrication, and other areas to work towards minimizing production problems. Investigate and resolve discrepancies to assure availability of equipment, tooling, and materials to support manufacturing requirements

  • Maintain accountability of capital asset equipment charged to the shop, list property numbers and locations, track non-capital equipment, locate missing equipment, and coordinate maintenance and repair as required

  • Support the identification and documentation of shop related chronic items using SAT or other means to continually improve processes

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must have basic computer skills

  • 3 or more years of experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning)

  • 3 or more years of experience working in a warehouse/distribution environment

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

  • Must be capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.

Relocation:

This position is in a location that does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Shift:

This role is primarily 2nd shift; however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives.

Union:

This is an hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinist (IAM-751) Collective Bargaining agreement.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range:$25.32/hr to start, with the potential to earn up to $54.76/hr as the max rate.
