The Opportunity

Step into a high-impact role delivering safety and sustainability for one of Australia's most critical combat aviation programs. Boeing Defence Australia is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to join the AH-64E Apache sustainment team in Townsville. As a EHS Specialist at Boeing you will:

  • Provide Environmental and Health & Safety subject-matter expert advice to the Apache program and internal stakeholders.
  • Support EHS processes, regulatory compliance and risk control across maintenance, test and sustainment activities.
  • Lead inspections and audits, investigate incidents, and recommend effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of EHS Management Plans (EHSMPs) aligned with Boeing requirements and international standards.
  • Champion and help embed a proactive EHS culture focused on continuous improvement.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years' relevant EHS experience.
  • Tertiary qualification in Environment, Health & Safety or a related discipline.
  • Deep knowledge of Environmental and Health & Safety legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Energy, passion, strong problem-solving skills and a practical, can-do attitude.
  • Able to work autonomously and collaboratively within a high-performance team.

Security requirement

  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.

  • Townsville, QLD.  Hybrid work options available
