Boeing AvionX is currently seeking Quality Engineer Level 1to support our Quality Team located inSmithfield, PA.

We focus on assembly and repair of key electronic systems for use on aircraft and other platforms for purposes such as navigation, flight controls, information systems, and other core avionics functions.

Position Responsibilities

  • Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Conducts process / document reviews and process validations to support supplier selection activities.
  • Develops quality, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
  • Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
  • Performs analysis and process audits to ensure electronics manufacturing and test readiness.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor of Science
  • Experience in Quality Engineering systems.
  • Experience in defining, developing, implementing, or improving production processes.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor of Science from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
  • Experience with quality processes in the electrical / electronics industry.
  • Experience working with non-conformance processing.
  • Experience in quality inspection and/or auditing.
  • Experience with drawing, reading and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • 1+ year experience with AS9100 or ISO 9000 and/or similar (QMS) Quality Management System preferred.
  • Understanding problem solving methodologies including Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) process.

Travel

This position may require up to 10% travel

Summary Pay Range: $69,700 - $94,300
