Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Information Technology & Data Analytics is seeking a Mid-Career Full Stack Developer to join the Performance Training Analytics (PTA) application team, supporting the Boeing Global Services Training Solutions organization. This position is based out of Seattle, WA.

Be part of a high performing software engineering organization focused on transforming the aviation training industry through Competency Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) digital solutions.

In this role, you will develop key capabilities to support the PTA application on both front and back end, including a planned Angular to React refactor project. You will bring your comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to build high quality, highly performant, scalable and maintainable solutions. You will collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate development and deployment processes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Refactor and migrate the PTA application front end from Angular to React.
  • Develop and maintain backend services using Java.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Apply DevOps concepts to support continuous integration, delivery, and infrastructure automation.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile development processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across front end and backend components.
  • Contribute to improving application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in full stack development and DevOps.
  • Willing to work off hours to support communications with team members located outside US.

*Please Note This position is On Site Five Days A Week in Seattle, WA - No Relocation is Budgeted for this role. - No Visa Sponsorship available for this Role*

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in software development with full stack expertise.
  • Proficiency in Java/Spring Boot development, SQL, and REST APIs for backend services.
  • Strong experience with React for front end development.
  • Strong sense of understanding of software development testing practices.
  • Familiarity with DevOps concepts and practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working in agile development environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Databricks or similar big data platforms.
  • Experience with Angular is a plus.
  • Experience with Python in a plus.
  • Experience  with Microsoft Azure or other modern cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Mantine component library is a plus
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and infrastructure automation tools.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages and automation tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is NOT an added benefit for this position. Candidates would need to be local or relocate to the Seattle area at their own expense.

Summary Pay Range for Mid-Level: $122,400 - $156,000
