Boeing Global Services (BGS) Digital Services is seeking a dynamic and strategic Flight Performance Product Manager (Level 5) to join our Digital Services team within the Cabin, Modification, and Maintenance organization at the forefront of delivering innovative solutions that enhance the operational efficiency of commercial airplanes. The Flight Performance Product Manager oversees the evaluation of business opportunities to define and optimize product offerings by analyzing and understanding targeted markets, market trends, new technology, customer business issues and the competitive environment. Advises on product development to create products and validates early product definitions with customers. Collaborates closely with marketing, strategy, technical/engineering execution teams, sales, and numerous other functional partners to support and deliver high-value solutions to our customers. Oversees the formulation of product strategies and identification new product opportunities. Leads the development of project plans designed to address customer needs and/or expand market share. Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and operators to continuously improve Boeing’s On-Board Performance Tool

  • Direct product roadmap and prioritization of product features and capabilities for development through internal and external collaboration

  • Lead from a visionary and yet practical perspective to enable the current aviation ecosystem, while ensuring alignment to long-term Boeing strategy.

  • Analyze and understand target markets, market trends, new technology, customer business issues, and the competitive environment.

  • Understand customer experience, identify and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas that grow market share while focusing on improving customer experience.

  • Translate operational insights and airline needs into clear requirements that guide product development, design, and feature enhancements.

  • Work closely with engineering, design, and product development teams to ensure requirements are accurately understood and incorporated into design, testing, and deployment phases.

  • Lead cross-functional teams in the design, testing, and deployment of innovative aviation solutions.

  • Create, in collaboration with Marketing, Go-To-Market plans to supply Sales Channels with appropriate collateral and market positioning documentation.

  • Support Training organization along with external and internal knowledge sharing.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies related to flight performance and operations.

  • Advise on sustainability initiatives and support airlines in meeting environmental and operational goals.

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time both domestically and internationally.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience in a cross-functional environment, either formally or informally.

  • At least 3 years of experience in customer-focused business development, commercial growth strategy, product development, or consulting within technical or aviation roles.

  • 1+ years’ proven experience in developing and presenting recommendations to executive-level management.

  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams and providing clear, actionable requirements.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to translate complex operational challenges into precise product recommendations

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience in airline operations

  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems, flight procedures, and aviation regulations.

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field

  • Familiarity with data analytics tools

  • Support Training organization along with external and internal knowledge sharing.

  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and environmental regulations in aviation.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: 160,650 – 217,350
