Boeing Brazil is seeking a Mid-Career Structural Analysis Engineer, with knowledge of stress analysis methods, engineering principles and coordination skills, reporting to the Structures Manager, working in the São José dos Campos office. 

The Mid-Career Structural Analysis Engineer will join Boeing Commercial Aircraft Structures team and will develop and provide support to the 7-Series Boeing aircraft, focused on Fuselage.

Position Responsibilities:

•    Evaluate the strength and integrity of structural non-conformances and repairs to ensure compliance with safety and design standards.
•    Apply structural analysis principles to assess and resolve product and process issues throughout the product lifecycle.
•    Analyze MRB dispositions for structural integrity, identifying, documenting, and communicating any deviations that may impact design intent or safety.
•    Provide alternative repair recommendations for Liaison Engineering to meet structural requirements when necessary.
•    Coordinate with regulatory agencies and representatives to support the certification of structural components.
•    Lead investigations into in-service product failures and analyze potential improvements to enhance product reliability and safety.
•    Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, demonstrating a strong sense of urgency and prioritization.
•    Utilize LEAN best practices to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
•    Collaborate proactively with customers and internal teams, including Liaison Engineering and Operations, to build positive and productive relationships.
•    Positive & proactive mindset, highly motivated team member willing to manage multiple assignments and work with a sense of urgency
•    Communicate effectively with lead engineers, team members, and management to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.


This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):


•    Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
•    Must have a Bachelor Degree in Engineering
•    Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA). Applicable to Brazilian, recent engineering graduates within 6 months and foreign engineers when the employer is willing visa sponsor. 
•    Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.
•    Relevant experience with Structures Engineering (Static, Fatigue and Damage Tolerance analysis).
•    Relevant experience of composite analysis and composite failure modes.
•    Relevant experience of metallic components analysis and metallic joints.
•    Familiarity with writing certification documentation and/or analysis report.

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):


•    Experience in structural analysis methods and tools (Hand-Calculation and Finite Element Analysis Method).
•    Familiarity with CAD software (Catia and/or others).
•    Familiarity with CAE software for FEM (Patran, Hypermesh, Abaqus etc.).
•    Understanding of compliance demonstration for regulatory requirements (ANAC/FAA).
•    Experience with Fleet Support and Repair’s design and substantiation.
•    Knowledge of Aircraft Manuals, such as SRM, AMM, MRB, AIPC and others.
•    Experience with aircraft production line, production support, short-term and long-term design solutions.
•    Occasional travel may be required in support of the program and customer.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an engineering environment.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
