Boeing Global Service Qatar Program office is looking for an experienced Project Management Specialist to lead C17 Training Services in Qatar and the UAE.  Candidate is expected to interface on regular basis with Boeing subcontractors and liaise with the Customers assisting with and resolving any help-needed situation per the on-hand contracts (Direct Commercial Sales contracts). Other duties may include help needed by the Program office around other Programs. Successful candidate is required to satisfy Qatar work visa, US export control, and both sites (air bases) access requirements. Certain travel between the sites is expected.

Job Description

The Project Manager Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing C-17 pilot, loadmaster, and maintenance training programs in Qatar & UAE. This role ensures training projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable aviation, and contractual requirements. The position serves as the primary liaison between instructors, training organizations, maintenance teams, engineering, suppliers, and customer stakeholders.

The selected candidate must possess good understanding and strong knowledge of Boeing products and the ability to apply, understand, and implement projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry.

The successful candidate will perform the following duties:

  • Oversee C-17 aircrew and maintenance training projects from initiation through completion.
  • Coordinate C-17 pilot, loadmaster, and maintenance training curricula, schedules, and resources.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, budgets, and risk management plans.
  • Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Prepare and deliver regular program status reports to senior leadership and customers.
  • Ensure alignment with approved syllabi, training objectives, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide project management support for other aircraft platforms and training programs as directed by leadership and/or customer needs.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience supporting aircrew & aircraft maintenance training programs.
  • 5+ years of project or program management experience, preferably in aviation or defense training.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Aviation Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, scheduling, and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Direct experience with C-17 Globemaster III operations or training.
  • Experience working with simulators, flight training devices, and maintenance training systems.
  • Advanced degree (Master, etc.) is preferred or equivalent certification.
  • International experience.

This is an export control position. Meaning:

1) Position may be export controlled.

2) Employment contingent upon meeting trade control requirements.

This vacancy is for an international, locally hired position in Al Udeid, Qatar. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable local law.
