Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Transportation Analyst  to join our dynamic team in Oklahoma City, OK.

The Transportation Analyst must effectively communicate with customers internally and externally via phone and electronic channels while adhering to Boeing expectations. This role supports enterprise transportation and logistics across all business units and transportation modes, critical to the supply chain health, enabling production, and meeting critical program needs.

This position will support cost-effective outbound transportation plans and solutions, supporting the enterprise across multiple business units and programs. You will be tracking and tracing transportation activities and building relationships with internal and external partners. In this role you will enhance your skills within the complex & exciting industry of transportation and logistics, with a large emphasis on transportation planning and truckload management.

Position Responsibilities -  Entry Level 1:

  • Assists with the preparation of documentation to support routing and logistics functional requirements.
  • Performs routine domestic freight transactions.
  • Assists in the analysis and interpretation of related information to identify issues for resolution.
  • Assists with and understands Logistics functions, processes, policies, and methodologies.
  • Learns how to analyze and apply techniques related to logistics and transportation methodologies. Communicates, collects and coordinates with logistics functions and business partners.

Position Responsibilities - Associate Level 2:

  • Assists with interpreting and applying logistics policies, processes and methodologies to support business initiatives.
  • Applies knowledge of logistics and transportation methodologies in support of organizational objectives.
  • Prepare documentation to support routing and logistics functional requirements.
  • Performs domestic freight transactions.
  • Assists with and performs international freight transactions in accordance with Federal and Regulatory Agency guidelines.
  • Collects and analyzes data and information from multiple sources in support of transportation and logistics business initiatives.
  • Assists with a variety of support services including freight bill audit and related activities, contracts management and negotiations team functions, prepares and assists with documentation and certification of shipments of dangerous goods and supports compliance initiatives

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

 Entry Level 1

  • Minimum 1-year experience in domestic and international supply chain logistics operations
  • Experience utilizing good judgment, a sense of urgency and have demonstrated high commitment to high standards of ethics, regulatory compliance, customer service and business integrity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Associate Level 2

  • 1+ years of experience multi-tasking (i.e., handling daily work, urgent emerging issues, project management, and phone call requests, etc.)
  • 1+ years of experience interacting with business partners and customers
  • 1+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • 1+ years of experience working in logistics or transportation
  • 1+ years of experience in performing data analysis

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  •  Entry Level 1: More than 1 year of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Associate Level 2: More than 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typical Education/Experience:

Entry Level 1:

Typically, 1 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degrees (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred but not required.

Associate Level 2:

Typically, 3 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degrees (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred but not required.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 5% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range Entry level 1: $53,550-$66,150

Summary pay range Associate Level 2: $62,900-$77,700
