The opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Supply Chain professional for the role of Team Supervisor supporting the Republic Singapore Air Force, Chinook CH-47F platform.

BDA are looking for a Supply Chain Specialist who will lead the logistics team for the Maintenance Logistics Support Services (MLSS) contract based at Swartz Barracks, Oakey. This position will lead the team in all facets of logistics support, inventory control and management, demand and issue inventory, repair and disposals and stocktaking. This role will involve working daily with a wide range of stakeholders including the customer and maintenance staff to provide a high level of logistics support to ensure timely and positive outcomes.  

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of Boeing supply and warehousing operations including timely execution of daily task setting and prioritisation of staff.
  • Accountable for on-site inventory and accounts including; Serviceable stock, Repairable items, as well as Quarantine and Disposal Accounts in accordance with Boeing policy and procedures.
  • Supervise the provision and distribution of inventory and repairables to meet all internal and external customers' requirements.
  • Handling of urgent and priority orders in order to meet the operational schedules.
  • Processing (Inventory Management System) transactions to support project activities as required.
  • Continue to drive and support a strong safety culture that aligns with Boeing policy.
  • Apply lean and continuous improvement ideas.
  • Be comfortable and confident to address staff concerns, training gaps and staff shortfalls if and when needed that aligns with Boeing Policy.
  • High levels of engagement with technical and operational stakeholders.
  • Interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including major suppliers, for parts flow management to support critical path inventory.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role.
  • CERT IV or higher in Warehouse and or Management (or comparable years of experience).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in; supply support, warehouse and/or logistics roles and functions.
  • Experience with computerised inventory management systems.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Ability to obtain and hold a Baseline security clearance.
