Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking an Associate Learning Strategist to deliver, validate, and continuously improve onboarding and skills training programs supporting the 787 Supply Chain Fulfillment team in North Charleston, SC.

This role will execute classroom and hands-on training across warehousing, factory & field support, tool room, and hazardous materials value streams. The Learning Strategist will partner with Instructional Designers and SMEs to collect field feedback, validate transfer of learning, and drive curriculum improvements aligned to Boeing safety and production standards

Position Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instructor-led and hands-on training per schedule for assigned courses and learner groups.

  • Serve as an instructor for assigned content areas and support train-the-trainer activities as directed.

  • Conduct workplace observations, task analyses, and SME interviews to confirm training needs and identify straightforward process gaps; escalate complex issues.

  • Administer practical skills assessments and knowledge checks; document outcomes and remediation needs; raise competency risks to leads.

  • Provide structured, actionable feedback to Instructional Designers and SMEs after pilots and observations – highlighting content gaps, SOP issues, and learner pain points.

  • Maintain accurate training records, certification logs, and attendance in LMS or centralized tracking systems.

  • Support IDs to integrate multimedia, simulations, and interactive strategies into the learning environment and assist with pilot implementations.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce time to competency and improve operational readiness at the course level.

  • Coach and develop SMEs to support delivery as directed.

  • Support change management communications during rollouts and process updates.

  • On-time delivery of scheduled onboarding and skills sessions with documented attendance and assessment outcomes.

  • Practical assessment reports and remediation plans for learners who do not meet competency criteria; escalate when needed.

  • Monthly feedback to Instructional Designers containing observations, suggested curriculum updates, learner trends, and supporting evidence for assigned courses.

  • Recommend basic job aids and work instructions in collaboration with SMEs and IDs.

  • Track completion for regulated compliance training.

Work will primarily occur on 1st shift, while also supporting 2nd and 3rd shifts as needed, This position is expected to be 100% onsite. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years delivering operational/warehouse/manufacturing training including hands on skills validation and practical assessments.

  • 1+ years teaching adult learners on a regular basis.

  • Experience managing multiple, complex training events or project work streams.

  • Working knowledge of warehousing operations, material handling equipment (MHE), tool room/calibration processes, and hazardous materials handling and regulations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to produce clear observations and actionable feedback.

  • Proficiency with enterprise LMS, MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint), and calendar/scheduling tools.

  • Ability to work on the production floor and comply with PPE, safety, and Boeing security procedures.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 2–4 years applying adult learning theory to design/delivery of content preferred.

  • Prior experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Fabrication, or Aerospace/Defense preferred.

  • Certifications: OSHA Trainer, HAZMAT/HazCom Trainer, Forklift/Powered Industrial Truck Trainer, or calibration/tool control familiarity preferred.

  • Familiarity with eLearning software (Articulate/Captivate), SCORM/xAPI basics, multimedia production, and LMS integration preferred.

  • Experience in change management and strategic communications a plus.

  • Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma or Kaizen methodologies preferred.

Summary pay range: $73,100-$98,900
