The Boeing Company is seeking an experienced Drug Free Workplace Analyst to manage and maintain our drug and alcohol testing program based in Mesa, AZ.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience administering drug and alcohol programs and a deep working knowledge of FAA and FMCSA regulations.  This role partners with HR, operations, and legal to ensure program compliance, accurate recordkeeping, quality of collection procedures, and effective training and communications from the Drug Free Workplace Program Office.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Administer a compliant drug and alcohol testing program aligned with DOT, FAA and FMCSA regulations and corporate policies

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of Drug Free Workplace (DFW) drug and alcohol testing program requirements

  • Identify and resolve issues and potential risks related to random drug and alcohol pool compliance

  • Perform random pool entry processes such as tracking and verifying pre-employment drug test results and previous drug and alcohol testing records. 

  • Coordinate, track, and audit random, return to duty and follow-up drug and alcohol testing ensuring requirements are met

  • Assist applicants, employees, managers, and supplier partners with completion of drug and alcohol program requirements

  • Conduct internal audits and quality assurance checks of drug and alcohol testing collection procedures, documentation, and vendor performance

  • Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with FAA and FMCSA record retention and DOT privacy rules

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft office suite

  • 3+ years of experience working with Human Resources (HR) related laws, policies, processes and procedures

  • 1+ years of experience administering drug and alcohol programs regulated by one of the Department of Transportation agencies

  • 1+ years of experience with auditing of drug and alcohol testing information

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of FAA and FMCSA regulations relevant to drug and alcohol testing

  • Experience working with MROs, SAPs, BATs, collection sites, and DOT-certified laboratories

  • Work collaboratively as a team in order to review and resolve complex problems and complete compliance activities by established deadlines

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with the need to independently prioritize time and work effectively based on work statement

  • Strong recordkeeping and confidentiality practices consistent with DOT/DOL requirements

  • Experience with Enterprise HR/Compliance systems and electronic chain-of-custody or testing management platforms

  • Training certifications for Drug and Alcohol Testing Custody and Control Forms (CCF) and Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) coursework

  • Excellent knowledge of FAA and FMCSA regulatory text and the capability to interpret and apply rules to complex workplace scenarios

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain accurate confidential records

  • Excellent verbal and written communication; able to train and advise leadership and supervisors

  • Capability to manage multiple priorities and respond to time-sensitive testing needs (e.g., post-accident testing, supervisor reasonable suspicion calls)

  • Strong vendor management skills and ability to perform audits

  • High ethical standards and capability to handle sensitive employee medical information with discretion

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $89,250 - $120,750
