Boeing Global Services (BGS), Distribution Business, is looking for an Experienced Supplier Quality Specialist to join our team in Long Beach, CA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Working in conjunction with the Supplier Performance Team, coordinate the Supplier creation process such that all requests for the use of new suppliers is completed in a timely manner.

  • Manage all aspects of the vendor account maintenance process to ensure the organization has a complete and up to date record of all certifications, approvals, etc. for the whole of the Supply Chain utilized.

  • Produce monthly Supplier Performance data, including but not limited to Supplier Scorecards and On Holds and Rejection data for use by the Supplier Performance Team and distribution internally and to the Supply Chain.

  • Compile analytical Supplier Performance data as requested by the Supplier Performance Team and work with the team to provide focused areas for action and improvement, both internally and within the Supply Chain.

  • Generate periodic strategic Supplier Risk Analysis and/or similar data to drive the Supplier Performance team's objectives and goals with the Supply Chain to improve Supplier Performance for the organization.

  • Manage and maintain the organization's Self Release audit and maintenance processes and report any areas of concern to the Supplier Performance Team for action implementation.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related work experience

  • 5+ years of experience managing performance of suppliers and/or vendors

  • 5+ years of experience in QA and process inspection, preferably from within the Aerospace

  • Experience analyzing data, also identifying and monitoring KPI’s

  • Ability to take on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and achieve business results.

  • Advanced knowledge and application of Excel. Proficiency in all other MS Office applications (i.e. Access, PowerPoint, Word).

  • This position may require traveling up to 50% of the time.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering, Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field of study

  • 6+ years of related work experience.

  • Supplier Performance or related experience.

  • Knowledge of AS9100/9120 Standards.

  • Experience with SAP

  • Internal and/or External Auditing training/qualifications.

  • Excellent communication skills required.

  • Procedures & work instruction writing experience

  • Strong work ethic.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $108,000.00 - $153,000.00
