Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking System Engineers to support the Subcontract Requirements Engineering team in Multiple Locations.

This unique role demands a strong understanding of engineering processes and the ability to translate requirements into contractually sound technical documents, as well as to analyze and evaluate supplier proposals. You will collaborate closely with various engineering disciplines within an integrated team environment to develop statements of work for a range of technically complex systems. Additionally, you will collect, organize, and analyze data, then summarize your findings effectively.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate or Experienced (Levels 2 or 3) System Engineers.

Position Responsibilities

  • Use the structured requirements process to ensure requirements are clear, unambiguous, verifiable and affordable.
  • Conducts fact-finding and performs analysis of the engineering and management non-recurring elements/labor hours of supplier cost proposals using various cost modeling techniques as appropriate and actively supports the supplier negotiations.
  • Assists in performing cost vs. requirements trade studies, cost driver analysis, and analysis of supplier cost proposals using parametric cost modeling techniques as appropriate.
  • Participate in supplier proposal negotiations as the technical/engineering representative on the multi-disciplinary team
  • Assists in Develops and implements systems engineering processes for organizations in Phantom Works and other business units.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or internationally depending on business needs.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 2+ years of work-related engineering experience
  • 1+ years of experience developing supplier requirements
  • Experience working with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • 5+ years' related engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Experience in Systems Engineering is a plus
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range for Associate (Level 2): $88,400 – $119,600

Summary pay range for Experienced (Level 3): $107,100 – $144,900
