Job Title: Propulsion Engineer

Employing Entity: The Boeing Company

We are looking for an experienced Propulsion Engineer in Everett, WA.

The selected candidate will coordinate, develop, and publish test plans, reports and procedures, and create and update documents such as fuel systems safety analysis and airworthiness limitations, as well as provide support for fuel systems safety and compliance investigations. 

Position Responsibilities:
•    Create or update documents like fuel systems safety analysis and airworthiness limitations; 
•    Coordinate, develop, and publish test plans, reports, and procedures; 
•    Provide support for fuel systems safety and compliance investigations;
•     Manage and prioritize multiple fuel systems tasks in support of certification and airplane delivery schedules; 
•    Interface with suppliers and external partners to drive successful collaborations on fuel systems projects; 
•    Ensure certification plans support regulatory requirements; and 
•    Coordinate integration of fuel systems changes with other airplane systems.

Multiple positions available.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Requires a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of professional work experience as a fuel
engineer or related occupation, as well as the below experience:
•    Three (3) years of experience analyzing safety and airworthiness of Fuel Systems Design on commercial aircraft;
•    One (1) year of experience with each of the following:
o    Certifying fuel systems on commercial aircraft
o    Large transport category aircraft certification processes; and
o    Documentation of Systems Safety Assessments according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), 14 CFR 25.981 Fuel Tank Explosion Prevention and FAA 14 CFR 25.1309 Equipment, Systems, and Installations

Telecommuting may be permitted. Up to 5% domestic travel and 20% international travel required. Multiple positions available.  

Relocation: 
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay $128,310 per year.
