JobSummary

You Lead. As a Integrated Program Operations Project Specialist at Millennium Space Systems, you are the person who connects with the Program/Project managers, specialists and leads that are grouped by the common thread of acquiring, manufacturing, assembling, testing and delivering products to programs.

This position requires excellent project management skills in order to successfully interact with program management level counterparts across the program, including the customer program office, subcontractors, user groups, and government oversight contractors.

You ensure program products are properly ordered, received, built, tested and put in program/ATLO (Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations) hands to meet program schedule need dates. You optimize touchpoints between Manufacturing/Operations, Engineering, Quality/BRE, REA, & Global Supply Chain.

This position's internal job is Project Management Specialist. Our team is currently hiring for a Level 3-4.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Internal face of programs and portfolio to other engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain functions for the purpose of material/product deliveries to ATLO

  • Develop and implement plans to communicate status, performance, issues, and actions

  • Drive team execution (day to day) and execution of upcoming milestones, thru facilitation of all functions in the flow from demand entry, procurement through delivery

  • Manage technical project scope, planning, proposals, cost estimates, schedules, cost performance, Estimates at Completion (EAC), Risk assessment throughout the program lifecycle

  • You will maintain schedules, risk lists, procurement plans, subcontract management

  • You will report regularly to the Program Management Office and/or Millennium Executive team as well as Program Customer or representatives

  • You will track all internal and external deliverables, prepare and present formal and informal design and progress reviews

  • Drive rapid resolution of issues

  • Drive performance improvement through the application of lean principles and program management best practices

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Level 3: Bachelor degree 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

  • Level 4: Bachelor's degree and 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

  • 3+ experience in a Lead Engineer/Technical role responsible for ensuring system and product integration across multiple disciplines.

  • 2+ years of experience in electrical testing

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Top Secret security clearance is required post start.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master's Degree in engineering or similar technical field

  • Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance

  • Medium-rate production (10-100 complex products per year), mechanical integration, spacecraft integration, program leadership, industrial operations, or systems engineering

  • Experience with Jira, Manufacturo, Costpoint, MS Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint

  • Experience with rapid development projects

  • Experience working with US Government customers

  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).

  • Concept-to-launch experience on satellite missions

  • Experience with cost-constrained and budget-constrained space programs

  • Experience with aerospace environments other than traditional large prime contractors

  • Experience with supply chain, manufacturing and lower tier suppliers

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range:
Level 3: $84,000 – $149,000
Level 4: $105,000 - $187,000

Millennium is DDTC-registered, ITAR-compliant Company. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Applicants MUST be U.S. citizens and eligible for a security clearance. Additionally, applicants must be willing to apply for and maintain a security clearance.
