The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) F-15 program is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Senior Manager - F-15 Mission Systems Electronic Warfare (EW) IPT to lead the F-15 EW engineering team from Berkeley, MO

The F-15 Mission Systems Senior Engineering Manager will oversee the capture, development, production, and sustainment of F-15 Electronic Warfare (EW) equipment. The role requires Boeing cross-functional leadership, tasking, ownership, and oversight of the Electronic Warfare products for the F-15 platform.

The product portfolio consists of the DEWS (F-15SA, F-15QA), CMWS (F-15SA, F-15QA), EPAWSS (F-15E, F-15EX, FMS), IEWS, Legacy EW systems .

The candidate filling this position will work closely with USAF, international, and DCMA customers and various suppliers to meet contract requirements and support fleet needs. This role will report to the Mission Systems Homeroom Director and deploy to the F-15 Mission Systems IPT Director.

The successful candidate will be a strong leader who is passionate about technical execution, continuous improvement, people development, and have a drive for excellence.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Drive execution in alignment with programmatic priorities for the F-15 Platform in support of program capture, development, production, delivery, and sustainment

  • Lead program execution including requirements development, qualification testing, and transition to production/sustainment

  • Coordinate cross-functional planning, scheduling, resourcing, and execution of Electronic Warfare related elements (BT&E, Engineering, Maintenance, Safety, Quality, Production Support, EHS, Product Support, Supply Chain, Scheduling, etc.) in alignment with policies, processes, and procedures

  • Provide technical management of suppliers to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements and production

  • Generate and present execution metrics / performance-to-plan predictive indicators including proactive risk mitigation and opportunity realization

  • Coordinate across IPTs within the F-15 program and in partnership with Air Dominance Advanced Development counterparts on topics related to Electronic Warfare

  • Support production and fleet with issue resolution for delivered hardware and software over the entire product life cycle

  • Support periodic (weekly/monthly/quarterly) programmatic reviews

  • Responsible and accountable for control accounts within the organization performing execution

  • Perform risk, issue and opportunity management

  • IPT lead will manage the day-to-day execution and performance of IPTs including Deployed Functional IPT members (managers & individual contributors)

  • Lead avionics equipment development program execution including requirements development, program reviews, qualification testing, and transition to production/sustainment

  • Develop and execute integrated plans, policies, processes, and procedures for Mission Systems avionics equipment

  • Provide experienced technical and programmatic leadership

  • Support trade study activities and new business proposal campaigns

  • Interface, communicate, present to senior leadership

  • Develop and maintain relationships with domestic and international customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports

  • Manage, motivate, and develop employees; acquire new resources for organizational activities

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. 

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) 

  • A final Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.

This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry 

  • 5+ years of experience leading and partnering with cross-functional teams, involving key stakeholder relationship management.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Leader or Manager

  • Experience with schedule and budget management, integration of all logistics elements, customer communication, as well as understanding of execution of program planning to ensure cost, schedule, and technical baseline requirements are met.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience and knowledge of Electronic Warfare and Mission Systems Development (preferably on a fighter platform(s))

  • Experience and knowledge of Mission Systems and Hardware development

  • Experience working within a fast-paced team environment which requires strong communication skills to frequently interact with leadership or internal and external customer representatives.

  • Experience leading and partnering with cross-functional teams, involving key stakeholder relationship management

  • Experience working within a fast-paced team environment, strong communication skills and routine interaction with leadership and customer representatives.

  • Experience in a management position or leading engineering teams

  • Experience with Safety Review Process and Mitigations

  • Experience with program management best practices

  • Familiarity with cost plus and fixed price contracts

  • Earned Value Management experience (CAM experience)

  • Experience managing programmatic baselines (schedules, assumptions and technical baselines, etc.)

  • Risk management

  • Experience with the gated processes

  • Experience providing active mentorship and career guidance

  • Ability to build a safe environment of transparency and trust.

  • Prior experience and knowledge of the F-15 programs portfolio

  • Experience with engineering integration on production and development programs

  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of management, customers, and partners

Typical Education/Experience: 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range:
Level M (Senior Manager): $200k - $258k
