Boeing is seeking a Senior Factory Automation Project Integrator to join our team in Berkeley, Missouri. In this role, you will join a team of multi-disciplined engineers and technical professionals responsible for ensuring the successful design, development, manufacture, and services support of Non-Destructive Automated Ultrasonic Scanning Systems (AUSS) products for worldwide internal and external aerospace programs. The team collaborates with multiple functions, suppliers, Boeing sites, and external customers to provide world class solutions for Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) systems.

Automated inspection of composites and metallics is a critical technological need that supports both production and maintenance of aircraft for Boeing and our industry partners. This position offers an opportunity to join a high visibility team of exceptional engineers and technicians as it expands to meet growing industry demand.

We seek a proactive and highly motivated individual capable of managing multiple tasks and working with minimal supervision. This position will report to the Manager of Automated Ultrasonic Scanning Systems (AUSS) in Boeing Global Services Off Platform Support Equipment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides project management and integration support for the development and execution of the AUSS project portfolio
  • Provides technical, business, and project leadership for a team, with multiple engineering disciplines, servicing internal and external customers
  • Manages the statement of work throughout the lifecycle, from proposal to delivery
  • Manages deliverables by defining plans for risk mitigation, issues, opportunities, and monitoring baseline plans to assess project performance, productivity, and lessons learned
  • Leverages technical knowledge to establish priorities based on customer needs
  • Effectively communicates project performance-to-plan, execution issues, and action plans to AUSS team, leadership, and stakeholders
  • Utilizes strong business acumen to represent Boeing and its products to customers
  • Establishes a strong network of contacts with Boeing business units, customers, and suppliers
  • Solicits and refines process improvements to improve product quality and efficiency
  • Performs efficiently in a fast-paced, challenging, and diverse work environment
  • Works under minimal direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 9+ years of experience working in an Engineering environment
  • 5+ years of experience in the implementation and use of Project Management Best Practices (PMBP) along with processes and methods (i.e., Requirements Management, Resource Management, Integrated Planning and Scheduling, Financial Oversight (EVM), Program Performance Management, Supplier Integration, RIO (Risk, Issue, Opportunity) Management, Program Communication, Senior Leadership Reviews, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience tracking cost, schedule and/or technical performance
  • 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior management, customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners
  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active Security Clearance
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams or projects formally or informally
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills to facilitate communications across the multi-disciplined technical teams, BCA and BDS organizations, and external customers
  • Experience in the preparation and delivery of briefings to Boeing and external customers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Experience evaluating supplier bids, coordinating supplier deliveries, trouble-shooting supplier performance issues
  • Experience with international export
  • Experience working on proposals or cost estimates
  • Experience in industrial automation, robotics, or manufacturing systems
  • Experience in factory or field support equipment
  • Experience in Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) or Non-destructive Test (NDT)
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Siemens NX, NX Teamcenter, CATIA, AUTOCAD Electrical, Visual Studio, Labview, C, C++, C#, GIT, Team Foundation Server, and Boeing Software Factory

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $136,850 - $185,150
