Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Analyst – Experience Quality Workplace Coach in Berkeley, MO.

As a member of this team, you will continuously develop and manage the structure to enable the pace and performance of the Skill Enhancement team. You will maintain positive relationships with multi-function team leaders and drive a deep understanding of the Boeing Production System principles and standards, production health, and problem solving.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the on-floor quality inspection subject matter expert (SME) who delivers hands on coaching and just in time mentoring to inspectors.
  • Provide hands-on coaching to team members in conducting inspections of mechanical, electrical, and electronic assemblies, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Observe and assess employee performance during inspection operations, providing constructive feedback and guidance to enhance skills and efficiency.
  • Ensure that all training and coaching activities are documented in accordance with applicable procedures and standards.
  • Support team members in understanding and adhering to technical documentation, including engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Provide technical assistance in problem-solving during inspections and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence of non-conformances.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, customers, and production workers to facilitate effective communication and resolution of issues.
  • Monitor inspection processes for accuracy and compliance with established engineering processes and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify areas for process improvement and recommend refinements to inspection practices.
  • Demonstrate correct use of inspection tools and measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, borescopes, etc.) and model proper calibration and verification practices.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Boeing quality systems, regulatory inspection standards, and site‑specific NCR workflows and electronic quality tools

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment 
  • 5+ years of experience inspecting aircraft/aerospace parts, components, and/or assemblies for conformance with applicable drawings, specifications, quality standards, and manufacturing plans
  • 5+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and/or Boeing Production System (BPS)
  • 5+ years of experience reading engineering blueprints/drawings
  • 5+ years of experience with Aerospace or Aircraft Non-Conformance Record (NCR)
  • Experience coaching in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills

  • Experience with quality or inspection on military aircraft

  • Ability to help develop, mentor and coach less experienced staff

  • Experience with root cause corrective analysis

  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership

Summary pay range: $90,050 – $123,050 USD
