Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Analyst – Experience Flight Operations Workplace Coach in Berkeley, MO.

As a member of this team, you will continuously develop and manage the structure to enable the pace and performance of the Skill Enhancement team. You will maintain positive relationships with multi-function team leaders and drive a deep understanding of the Boeing Production System principles and standards, production health, and problem solving.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject-matter expert (SME) for Flight Operations Mechanics, providing hands-on guidance to improve individual and team capabilities
  • Observe technicians on the line and in the hangar to identify skill gaps, reinforce correct technique, and give targeted, just-in-time coaching.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting support during complex maintenance activities to transfer practical problem-solving methods to less experienced technicians.
  • Analyzes and interprets data
  • Mentor technicians through live tasks, focusing on judgment, decision-making, and best practices rather than only procedural teaching.
  • Provides feedback on assessment results and identifies opportunities for improvement and potential areas of risk
  • Works with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to achieve business objectives
  • Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans
  • Works under minimal direction
  • Ensure that all training and coaching activities are documented in accordance with applicable procedures and standards.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in Flight Operations
  • 5+ years of experience in a military or commercial aircraft environment
  • Experience understanding continuous improvement methodologies
  • 5+ year of experience do you have with any of the following: avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installations, and aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting
  • 5+ years of experience with mechanical troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Experience coaching in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with the application of Human Factors principles, tools and techniques to the Design, Technical Documents, Training, Maintenance, Support Equipment and Testing on aircraft and its interface with the human operators
  • Experience working independently and cross functionally

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to help develop, mentor and coach less experienced staff
  • Experience with root cause corrective analysis
  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership

Summary pay range: $90,050 – $123,050 USD
