Industrial Engineer - Assembly Support

Key Accountabilities:

  • Analyzes and designs sequence of operations workflow to improve efficiency of production facilities and equipment; and establishes methods for maximizing utilization of production facilities and personnel, and optimization of product flow.
  • Conduct quarterly headcount analysis based on production rates, identifying opportunities and risks; develop headcount models for various what-if scenarios to support strategic planning and staffing decisions.
  • Develops schedule analysis, recovery flows and risk analysis to meet customer delivery dates or provide improved dates.
  • Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. Based on these studies, develops and implements optimized product flow. 
  • May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities. 
  • Develops and provides basis of estimate (BOE) for standard work changes and new work implementation.  
  • Utilizes analytical skills for capacity analysis, tool and equipment utilization as well as line balancing.
  • Performs trend analysis of shop performance measures to identify opportunities for improvements.
  • Download and Manipulate data to support data driven business decisions.
  • Develop and execute automation scripts using VBA and Python to streamline data processing, perform capacity simulations, and generate custom reports from SAP and Excel-based systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in industrial engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • Knowledge of IE Tools used in production including capacity analysis, theory of constraints, waste elimination, production improvements
  • Experience leading projects and project teams with a continuous improvement focus
  • Effective communication skills, ability to execute the vision, detailed roadmap, and specific technical solutions to make a compelling business case with senior executives.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing industry
  • Project Management
  • Experience using SAP or other ERP systems
  • Proficient in VBA and Python scripting for automation and data analysis
  • The skill level will be determined based on the years of experience and education
