Job Description:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Experienced Supplier Quality Representative (Level 3) to join our On-site Supplier Quality team at Spirit in Wichita, Kansas.

This will be an opportunity to join the dynamic and unique team responsible for executing a solid recovery plan for one of the heavy structure’s suppliers. The supplier Quality organization is responsible for oversight of the suppliers QMS and evaluating product quality improvement plan. The Experienced Supplier Quality Representative will be responsible for performing RCCA, Conducting product audits and investigations at the supplier.

Position Responsibilities:    

  • Plans and conducts audits and assessments of supplier's systems, processes and products.
  • Documents and reports audit and assessment results.
  • Inspects or verifies products for compliance with requirements.
  • Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work.
  • Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives.
  • Resolves routine issues and concerns.
  • Works closely with the FAA and other regulatory agencies
  • Demonstrates a willingness to accept responsibility and accountability for one's actions. Exhibits a moral, legal or mental accountability in areas of responsibility.
  • Ability to demonstrates a commitment to the mission and motivation to combine the team’s energy and expertise to achieve a common objective. Understands the dynamics of effective teamwork in order to attain higher levels of performance. Demonstrates ability to work as a member of a team.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills
  • 3+ years of experience with project leadership leading cross-functional teams
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 3+ years of experience performing product, process or compliance audits of Quality Management Systems
  • Capable of travel 25% of the time
  • 3+ Years Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering technical information (e.g., drawings, handbooks, industry standards and specifications).
  • 3+ Years Knowledge of drawing/data systems (e.g., ""used on"" drawings, part relationships, product data management) and configuration management principles and processes (e.g., part number control, revision level, naming conventions, product identification numbering systems).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: Supplier Quality, Program Quality, Quality, Mission Assurance or Supplier management.
  • 3+ years of experience with AS9100
  • Lean or lean six sigma experience (leading or co-leading teams with value stream mapping and shop floor standard work events)
  • Experience with mixed technologies – machining, fabrication, composite, and electronics assembly.
  • Proficient in MS Office tool suite and project management software tools
  • 3+ years with Knowledge of Boeing's organizations, processes, program plans, policies and procedures, and products required to effectively perform functional responsibilities of the occupation

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range: $87,300-$106,700/Annually
