We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead a team of Product Managers and UX Designers focused on Analytics and AI products within Boeing Defense. This role requires a strong strategic leader with deep expertise in product management and user experience design, ideally combined with strong expertise in either aerospace or the tech industry.

The Senior Manager must be passionate about product, an inspiration to teams and stakeholders, insightful of customer needs, data driven and execution oriented. As the leader, this person will be responsible for mentoring a team in product management and UX practices, driving product strategy and execution across a portfolio of digital and AI products, identifying high-impact business drivers, developing robust business cases, managing the intake and prioritization of emerging business needs based on clear business value, and measuring business outcomes and user adoption. A strong focus on user-centric design and systems thinking is essential to deliver intuitive, effective, and scalable solutions. This role demands exceptional cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, particularly in engaging senior stakeholders, to align product initiatives with the evolving needs of the business, both internal and external.

This position can be located in Tukwila, WA, El Segundo, CA, Philadelphia, PA or St Louis, MO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers and UX Designers specializing in analytics and AI products.
  • Coach product managers and product owners on product discipline, like improving product vision, roadmaps, backlog grooming, planning, customer discovery, adoption and business outcomes.
  • Drive product strategy and execution by empowering and guiding the product management and UX teams to deliver impactful, user-centric solutions.
  • Align existing portfolio strategy within the context of existing systems and with eye toward future state for improved productivity of end users.
  • Champion user-centric design principles and systems thinking to ensure products meet the needs of diverse users and integrate effectively within complex aerospace systems.
  • Identify and prioritize high-impact business drivers, establishing clear metrics to measure business outcomes and product success.
  • Lead product managers to align product with customer journeys and persona in their current state, while aligning product roadmaps to a future state.
  • Align product strategies and features across products within the portfolio, looking for opportunities to lean and integrate the customer experience and product support.
  • Develop comprehensive business cases to support investment decisions, prioritization with stakeholders and resource allocation.
  • Manage the intake process for emerging business needs, ensuring prioritization is driven by clear and measurable business value.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, IT, data science, UX, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and impactful analytics and AI solutions.
  • Engage senior stakeholders regularly to communicate product vision, progress, risks, and opportunities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage product lifecycle from ideation through delivery, including prioritization, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making within the product management and UX teams.
  • Ensure adherence to aerospace industry standards, cybersecurity protocols, and regulatory compliance in product development.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Product Management, Engineering, Business, Human Factors, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of direct product management experience.
  • 5+ years leading or managing cross functional teams.
  • Experience with Scaled Agile methodologies and product management tools like Jira.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in digital, analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or data science product domains.
  • Strong people skills in managing product teams.
  • Strong ability to identify key business drivers and define measurable outcomes that demonstrate product impact.
  • Demonstrated success in developing business cases and managing intake/prioritization of emerging business needs based on business value.
  • Demonstrated success in driving strategy and execution of effective product management.
  • Deep understanding and advocacy of user-centric design principles and systems thinking.
  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills and experience communicating effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing industry challenges, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Boeing or Aerospace experience, or tech industry experience, preferred.

Pay & Benefits:

The specific programs and options available to any given employee may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range:

St Louis: $180,200 - $243,800

All other Locations: $192,950 - $261,050
