The Boeing Company is currently looking for a BDS Materials and Processes Technology First Line Manager to join the team in Tukwila, WA.

As a Materials and Processes Technology (M&PT) Manager you will have the responsibility for providing leadership and integration within the M&PT Engineering team and supporting stakeholders including but not limited to Electrical Design and Integration (EDI) Engineering, Certification, and Aircraft Integrated Product teams.

The leader will partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive successful execution of the M&PT statement of work. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a highly skilled and diverse engineering team across multiple disciplines.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing activities within multiple (2 or more) Engineering disciplines. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The candidate selected will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS, MS, or PhD degree from an accredited course of study, in a STEM field

  • 5+ years’ industry experience

  • 2+ years’ experience of project or team leadership

  • Experience with electrical and electronic components and assemblies

  • Experience working in or supporting Program and/or Design Engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in M&PT or Wire Design

  • Previous experience supporting BDS Commercial Derivative or Military aircraft Programs

  • Previous Management Experience

  • Previous experience working with specifications and standards

Typical Summary pay range: $138,550- $187,450
