Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking a Systems and Data Analyst in Swansea, ILIn this role you will provide lead systems and data analysis support and sustainment of Tapestry's Global Decision Support System (GDSS) program. GDSS is the primary US Air Force Air Mobility Command (AMC) Command and Control (C2) system, and is a globally distributed enterprise class suite of applications designed, implemented and maintained by Tapestry Solutions. GDSS applications and services provide advanced mission planning, command and control for all phases of mobility operations (airlift, airdrop, and air refueling operations).  Users can visualize key aspects such as weather, flight plans, diplomatic clearances, and airfield details to quickly and efficiently determine mission status and make decisions in near real time.

The lead Systems and Data Analyst for the Global Decision Support Systems (GDSS) program will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the program by overseeing requirements gathering, backlog management, and release planning in close partnership with the program’s Chief Engineer. This individual will lead a team of functional and testing resources, ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest quality standards. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize system requirements, facilitating effective communication between stakeholders, and providing tier three operational support. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of data systems, and the ability to mentor and guide team members in delivering innovative solutions that enhance decision-making processes across the organization.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for systems and data solutions
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions and improve operational efficiency
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that development teams have a clear understanding of requirements and deliverables
  • Coordinate release planning activities, including defining scope, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery of system updates and enhancements
  • Lead testing efforts to validate system functionality, performance, and data integrity, ensuring that all deliverables meet quality standards
  • Provide tier three operational support, troubleshooting complex issues and collaborating with technical teams to resolve system-related problems
  • Mentor junior analysts and team members, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting best practices in data analysis and systems development
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on status, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of data systems and analysis

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights
  • Experience in agile methodologies and project management practices, including backlog management and release planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring teams, fostering collaboration, and driving high-quality deliverables
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience supporting Mobility Air Force Command and Control systems
  • Previous experience with GDSS

Pay & Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary base pay range $104,000 - $117,000

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
