Boeing Global Services (BGS) Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer to join the BGS Supply Chain Engineering (SCE) Supplier Recovery Team in Seal Beach, California; Dallas, Texas; Huntsville, Alabama; or North Charleston, South Carolina.  The BGS SCE Supplier Recovery Team delivers engineering support for Supply Chain led supplier recovery operations and integrates across all business units and supplier facilities to achieve long-lasting Supply Chain Recovery.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Provide engineering resource determination, alignment, and reach-back across BGS and BCA/BDS Program level engineering as needed.
  • Assess engineering requirements needed to rectify supplier capacity constraints
  • Lead executive approved On-Site Supplier Recovery efforts and engagements in partnership with GFO, Supplier Management & Quality, and Supply Chain Recovery Teams
  • Work across business units and with suppliers to oversee BGS SCE Recovery efforts against documented supplier constraints and develop supplier recovery plans
  • Leads work with suppliers to assess engineering requirements for manufacturing capacity on complex multi-tiered recovery projects.
  • Leads multi-discipline teams to develop improved processes and tools for supplier recoveries
  • Defines strategy, methods and tools to improve test and integration work for supplier recoveries

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):   

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 5+ years’ experience in an Aerospace Engineering discipline
  • 5+ years' experience performing Root Cause Correction Analysis of manufacturing and repair processes
  • 3+ years’ experience planning and overseeing Supplier Recoveries in a production environment
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years’ experience with commercial or military aircraft windows design, installation, and troubleshooting
  • 5+ years’ experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills
  • 5+ years’ experience with project leadership leading cross-functional teams
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing engineering, manufacturing planning, and industrial engineering practices

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range: $140,250 - $203,550
