An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supplier Quality Specialist to join Boeing Netherlands B.V. in Rotterdam or Amsterdam.

The role will be working with a wider Boeing European team managing the quality aspects of the supply base for all military products in Europe. Travel to Boeing suppliers around Europe will be required on a frequent basis (up to 60% of the time).

This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and will not require the selected candidate to relocate.

This is a two years fixed term contract.

Position Responsibilities:

Management of a portfolio of suppliers including:

  • Supplier oversight and surveillance.
  • Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) review and acceptance.
  • Supplier development and mentoring.
  • Earlier Quality Involvement (EQI) and Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) implementation.
  • Continuous improvement internal and external.
  • Creating and presenting metrics and performance data.
  • Product inspection and acceptance into the Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Drivers license full and clean
  • Must have experience as a Quality Inspector or in the use of associated inspection equipment and processes A solid understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills, proficient in Business English, second language would be an advantage
  • A high level of attention to detail and professional integrity.
  • Ability to work on multiple programs with varying level of requirements efficiently and optimally.
  • Must have willingness to travel on a frequent basis
  • Must be able to work efficiently in a virtual environment; time management skills are crucial

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in the inspection of machined and fabricated parts and assemblies and knowledge of electrical/electronic parts, experience on wire looms would be an advantage.
  • Experience in the review of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to the AS9102 standard, be able to articulate non-compliance/conformities to the document owners and progress through to a compliant resolution. Knowledge and experience of the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA)
  • Experience in Auditing techniques to AS9100 would be an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher.

Work Authorisation:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in the Netherlands. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the Netherlands. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
