Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is seeking a motivated Senior Project Engineer to support the V-22 program Project Engineering team located in Ridley Park, PA. The selected candidate will report to the V-22 Project Engineering team. Boeing Vertical Lift products support the vital missions of defense forces around the world and provide protection and relief in a constantly changing geopolitical environment. Position Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for total aircraft bill of material assurance.  This position would be required to support V-22 aircraft fabrication, assembly, functional test, delivery center operations, and delivery flight testing.

  • Responsible for initial components for baseline factory operations and emergent requirements due to (but not limited to) supplier shortages, notice of escapement mitigation, failed components, damaged components, etc.

  • This position requires excellent knowledge of factory operations methods and personnel, excellent understanding of supply chain mechanics, and part requirement generation.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential for success in this position.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):  Provide– REQUIRED skills/experience candidates must have to be considered.

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • Level 4 - Bachelor’s degree and 9+ years’ experience or Master’s & 7+ years

  • Level 5 - Bachelor’s degree and 14+ years’ experience or Master’s & 12+ years

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering

  • 5+ years of experience working in a team-oriented environment with multiple engineering stakeholders

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):   Provide any preferred skills.

  • 8+ years of experience working with or on an engineering team. (Level 5)

  • Excellent knowledge of factory operations methods and personnel, excellent understanding of supply chain mechanics, and part requirement generation

  • Experience supporting aircraft fabrication, assembly, functional test, delivery center operations, and delivery flight testing

  • Experience working with US Department of Defense (DoD) customers or international Defense customers.

  • 1+ years working in a leadership capacity (e.g. project/program lead, team lead, SEIT focal, etc.)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range (Level 4): $122,400 - $165,600

Summary pay range (Level 5): $150,450 - $203,550
