Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for an Inventory Modeling Tech Specialist (Associate or Experienced) to join our team in Ridley Park, PA.

This organization supports BGS-Government Planning.  The data analyst will apply statistical and other analytic techniques to assist with producing within the fast-paced environment of aerospace.

A successful candidate will understand the importance of statistics and supply chain as the position will focus on working directly with demand planning, new business, and the Asset management team to perform statistical and mathematical data analysis to enable the BGS business to meet their organizational goals.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Inventory Modeling Tech Specialist.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving

  • Champions culture of quality, learning, trust, and collaborative energy

  • Update planning data in execution model & perform monthly/quarterly updates

  • Assist with identifying excess inventory for disposition

  • Assist in independent model analysis to determine if any adjustments are needed

  • Identify and communicate demand usage trends across platform for correlation between region, supplier, etc.

  • Identify issues and question if there is an unusual demand pattern

  • Coordinate with SIOP integrator to ensure model data can be pulled and compiled for reporting and tracking purposes

  • Support SIOP Business Management Reviews    

  • Compile & review forecasting metrics (forecast accuracy & bias)

  • Provide forecast to supplier management and asset management functions to aid in supplier agreement and combined buy strategy

  • Perform Periodic data flow audits to confirm compliance to supply chain planning process design

  • Present & justify execution model results and recommendations to supply chain leadership, program managers, customers, internal/external auditors and peers

  • Coordinate with SCM/AM/Engineering on BOM checklist and material transition (all configs captured to prevent unnecessary buys or duplicates)

  • Work with SPM core on system issues/defects and enhancements

  • Identify opportunities for improvement (adjustments to forecasting methodology, and SPM parameters) 

  • Perform what if analysis in execution model to determine impact of contract or environmental changes

  • Perform Simulation Analysis periodically to identify potential fill rate risks in the future

  • Support Proposal Efforts

  • Coordinate with New Business focal to provide bin requirements for proposal support and identify any risks within the plan

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience with Supply Chain

  • 1+ years of experience in data analytics and/or business intelligence

  • 1+ years of experience with supply chain forecasting

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Great communication skills and motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced production environment

  • Strong team player with passion to execute projects with a focus on customer and value

  • Bachelor’s in computer science, economics, quantitative finance, operations research, statistics, mathematics, or related field of engineering

  • 1+ years of experience with Demand forecasting and/or data simulation experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range (Associate): $76,000.00 - $102,700.00

Summary pay range (Experienced): $94,000.00 – $126,000.00
