The Boeing Company is looking for an Associate, Experienced or Senior Flight Control System Design Engineer to support the V-22 Flight Control Systems team in Ridley Park, PA. The selected candidate will work with a variety of complex and challenging systems. This includes working within the team to design, test, and coordinate the overall integration of flight controls related capabilities onto the V-22 platform.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop architectures and interfaces to integrate flight controls and related subsystems on to the V-22 platform.

  • Work with customers to develop and document software, electronic and electrical system requirements.

  • Analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.

  • Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.  Identify opportunities to improve the system performance and maintenance.

  • Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

  • Monitor subcontractor design, development, integration, testing and delivery of hardware, software and systems.

  • Support V-22 Flight Test

  • Support V-22 operations during production integration and test of the V-22 flight control system.

  • Field and respond to customer hardware and software concerns.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):  

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 2+ years of engineering experience with hardware and/or software products

  • 2+ years of experience managing technical aspects of project/program

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):

  • 2+ years of experience in supplier relationship management/technical subcontract management

  • 5+ years’ of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Flight Controls Engineering experience

  • Experience in Program lifecycle experience

  • Experience in V-22 Osprey experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range (level 2):  $85,850 - $116,150

Summary pay range (Level 3): $102,850 - $139,150

Summary pay range (Level 4): $128,350 - $173,650
