Boeing Global Services (BGS) Distribution Services is looking for an Experienced Shipping/Receiving Specialist to join our team based at our customer location in Prestwick, UK.

The selected candidate will be required to work 100% onsite at the above-mentioned location.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide logistics and stock support to the customer, ensuring that stock is in the right place at the right time.

  • Scanning and replenishment of bins to ensure minimum stock levels necessary to support stock availability.

  • Maintaining the delivery cycle to meet customer demand and contractual requirements

  • Providing logistics support to customer logistics team including but not limited to booking stock in, kitting, issuing job cards, performing cycle counts

  • Being the first point of contact for customer stock queries, identifying the issues and referring complex queries to the correct team for resolution

  • Day to day onsite management of customer shortages

  • Run and work all reporting and variance sheets, providing appropriate updates and reports to internal and external customers, and input into KPI reporting as required

  • Complying with Boeing Distribution Services mission, values, quality systems, procedures and ISO manual and adhering to applicable Collins policies for operating on the customer’s site

  • Identifying and offering suggestions to improve efficiency

  • Contributing to a positive and inspiring working environment

  • Demonstrate general knowledge of compliance and environmental regulations as they apply to the storage, handling and transportation of dangerous goods.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 4-6 years of related work experience

  • Experience in warehouse operation

  • Ability to manage cartons in excess of 35 lbs. utilizing available safety tools.

  • Experience in operating material handling equipment

  • Basic Computer Knowledge

  • Intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

  • Must be detailed oriented, efficient, and able to work in a fast-paced atmosphere

  • Able to work in a cross functional team environment

  • Ability to fluently, read, write and speak English

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • High School Diploma / Equivalent.

  • Basic SAP knowledge

  • Knowledge of transportation, shipping laws and procedures.

  • Experience in shipping and distribution.

Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.

Work Authorization:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorization to work immediately in the UK.

Shift:

This position is currently for day shifts but in future may require an early and late shift Rota.
