Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Process Engineer (Level 4) to join our multi-disciplinary team within BGS Core Engineering. This role reports directly to the Senior Leader of Design Practices, Processes & Compliance.

The selected candidate will play a key role in developing and deploying engineering quality and compliance initiatives that support capability teams across the BGS Engineering value stream including Government Services, Commercial Mods, Government Training, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams.

Responsibilities include standardizing and optimizing engineering processes aligned with the Quality Management System (QMS), advancing process excellence through data analytics, addressing technical trends and root causes, and supporting business critical initiatives through executive-level presentations and reporting. The candidate will also help accelerate QMS adoption and maturity across engineering organizations.

This position requires frequent collaboration with senior engineers and engineering leadership to resolve complex challenges and answer critical inquiries. The ability to influence, build consensus, and provide technical guidance across multiple stakeholders is essential. Demonstrated agile, innovative and strategic thinking will be key to success, particularly in developing new requirements from cross-functional inputs.

Position Responsibilities

Included but not limited to:

  • Lead and support the integration of Boeing Quality Management System (QMS) principles into engineering capability team processes, representing the BGS Core Engineering team.

  • Apply knowledge of AS9100D and QMS standards to assess process maturity and identify improvement opportunities across the engineering organization.

  • Lead and participate in process reviews and internal checks to ensure that audit readiness and quality standards are effectively embedded.

  • Lead the analysis of process performance trends, develop metrics, and evaluate the effectiveness of engineering KPIs (e.g. FPQ, Process findings etc.) for compliance efforts.

  • Lead the development and documentation of process enhancements/plans and optimization strategies to address complex challenges within engineering programs and capabilities.

  • Conduct benchmarking and advanced analyses (e.g., APQP) to assess and improve process capability and standardization across teams.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, support leadership reviews, and facilitate workshops focused on compliance, process enhancement, and resolving recurring issues.

  • Prepare executive-level reports and presentations to communicate progress, findings, and planned initiatives across engineering quality and compliance efforts.

  • Works under minimal direction.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering discipline such as mechanical, process, quality, systems or supplier quality engineering, including familiarity with engineering processes and requirements.

  • 5+ years of project management experience, including planning, tracking, and execution of deliverables.

  • 3+ years of experience leading or contributing to cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and implement plans, schedules, or integrated solutions.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience developing and managing metrics and supporting Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and applying Lean principles.

  • 3+ years of direct experience supporting programs and/or platforms within BCA, BDS, or BGS.

  • Familiarity with program standards, policies, and procedures within a Boeing business unit.

  • Experience working within a production system, capability team and/or technical statements of work (SOWs) with a focus on quality.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $108,800 - $157,550
