Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Sustainment Support Project Management Specialist (Level 3) to support the E-4B Program. In this role, the focus will be on supporting a portfolio of Sustainment projects including all aspects of lifecycle planning, product affordability, proposal development, negotiation strategy, integration leadership, and issue resolution. The selected candidate will also support fleet readiness and health of fleet improvement initiatives based in Oklahoma City, OK.

This position is primarily internally facing, and will include frequent interaction with the E-4B leadership team. This position is ideal for a candidate seeking a career path in Project Management or Program Management.

Position Responsibilities

  • Support/lead internal and external reviews with process required program documentation and implement documentation within program where required if gaps are identified
  • Support tracking of Sustainment and Engineering Projects from estimate through completion. 
  • Work with the program engineering teams to identify trends, evaluate projected costs, and ensure adherence to contractual requirements
  • Ability to combine information from multiple sources to generate project tracking
  • Flexibility to support ad hoc data and support requests and evolving situations
  • Supports/leads development of overall project plan consistent with project objectives as defined by the project owner and key stakeholders in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards)
  • Works to improve project management processes and business systems that support project decision makers
  • Leads all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion
  • Acts as a project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives
  • Ensures that all project control systems within the scope of the project are in place and integrates project data for decision makers

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.


This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with program management, project management and/or business operations
  • 3+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment and/or business unit teams
  • 3+ years of experience collecting and analyzing data from multiple sources, as well as interpreting data and presenting analysis and recommendations to management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Experience with creating and presenting both written and verbal communication and presentations
  • Experience in Excel (i.e. formulas, pivot tables, linking worksheets)
  • Experience working with the financial EAC process, LRBP & Forecast process, budget baseline process, control account EAC process, and Cost Schedule Planning & Reporting (CSPR)
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher

Summary pay range for $81,600 - $110,400
