The Boeing Legacy Tankers (KC-135 and KDC/KC-10) organization is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex spares and repairs proposals and contract execution in Oklahoma City, OK.

This role will focus on overseeing all aspects of current contracts and future proposals for new built spares and component repairs for the United States Air Force (USAF) customer at Tinker Air Force Base. The candidate will successfully manage and lead current contracts, valued at over $100M, as well as follow-on proposals valued at over $1B.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversees, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for highly complex or difficult projects, programs and change driven activities to execute in accordance with project management industry standards
  • Directs and provides high level studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), determines scope, reports, and oversight of planning requests
  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case
  • Develops and executes the process and strategy for the integration of plans and schedules
  • Consults and recommends integrated planning, scheduling, change and baseline management, processes, techniques and tools to management considered to be best practices across the industry
  • Recognized as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives
  • Authorizes commitment of resources by obtaining approvals from stakeholders
  • Oversees deployment of approved recommendations at Division, Business Unit, and/or Enterprise levels

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 10+ years of experience with program/project management
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) or the Cost Account Manager (CAM) role
  • Experience managing one or more suppliers producing complex aircraft structures, composite or metal bond parts to include non-recurring, tooling and low rate initial production (LRIP) efforts associated with First Part Qualification (FPQ) and First Article Inspection/Test (FAI/FAT)
  • Experience with Boeing or USAF/DoD proposal process
  • Experience working in the aerospace industry or on Department of Defense (DOD) or United States Air Force (USAF) programs
  • Experience presenting complex technical data to Senior/Executive & Customer/Stakeholder Leadership

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master’s/PhD in engineering
  • 13+ years of engineering or project/program management experience
  • 13+ years of experience with Program Management Best Practices (PMBP)
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Experience working with KC-135 or a comparable DoD aircraft platform
  • Experience with baseline/change management, customer & supplier communication, as well as program planning and control.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $135,000 - $165,000
