The Boeing Company is looking for a Project Management Specialist (General Project Mgmt) (Associate, Experienced, or Senior Level) to support the B-52H software portfolio and programs in Oklahoma City, OK.  This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

A Project Management Specialist is responsible for independently developing, coordinating, integrating, analyzing, and maintaining integrated plans and schedules to meet program and project requirements in accordance with industry standards.

This role involves conducting studies and performing various analyses, including trend, variance, and impact assessments, as well as risk assessments to determine impacts and constraints related to product development, production rates, process improvement, and program initiatives.

The specialist creates schedules, reports, and metrics, manages change activities, and regularly communicates updates throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, they work to improve project management processes and business systems, implement best practices, and direct all phases of projects or subsystems from inception through completion. Acting as the primary project contact, they establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives, assist customers in developing performance recovery plans, and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing stakeholder needs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Integrated Plans and Schedules

    • Independently develop, coordinate, integrate, analyze, and maintain an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards

  • Perform Studies and Analysis

    • Conduct studies and perform analysis such as trend, variance, and impact assessments

    • Perform risk assessments to determine impacts and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, and program initiatives

  • Create and Update Schedules and Reports

    • Create schedules, reports, and metrics

    • Manage change activity and communicate updates to the plan regularly throughout the lifecycle of the program or project

  • Improve Project Management Processes

    • Work to improve project management processes and business systems

    • Implement best practices that support project decision-makers

  • Direct Project Phases

    • Direct all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion

  • Act as Primary Project Contact

    • Act as the primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives

  • Assist Customers with Performance Recovery Plans

    • Assist customers in developing performance recovery plans

    • Ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders

Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Associate, Experienced, and Senior Engineers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with software development lifecycle, programming processes, etc.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Preferred qualifications for this role include certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)

  • Experience in project management, particularly within the aerospace or manufacturing industry, is highly valued

  • Proficiency in project management software tools, strong analytical and communication skills, and a proven track record of managing complex projects are essential

  • Additionally, experience with Agile methodologies, specifically as a Scrum Master, is preferred

  • The ideal candidate should also have experience in Business to Technical Computing Technologies, MS Visio, Servant Leadership, XML, Computational Thinking, Complex Problem Solving, Risk Assessment, Web-based Systems Architecture, Requirements Management, Cloud Computing, and general knowledge of FAA regulations associated with parts

  • Skills in Change Management, Estimating, Machine Learning, Modern User Interface Design concepts, Business Management, Enterprise Architecture, LEAN Methodologies, Emotional Intelligence, GitLab, and JIRA is also highly desirable

  • Furthermore, a minimum of 1 year of experience presenting technical information to executive leadership is required

  • Adaptability, flexibility, and strong customer service orientation are important for success in this role

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range for Associate: $63,750.00 - $86,250.00

Summary pay range for Experienced: $81,600.00 - $110,400.00.

Summary pay range for Senior: $100,300 - $135,700.00.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
