The Boeing Company is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled a Mid-level or Lead Process Engineer to join our dynamic team in North Charleston, SC.

As a Process Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work in our innovative and collaborative environment, known as the Innovation Cells, where diverse minds come together to drive solutions. Leveraging cutting-edge technology, such as 3D printing, you will play a crucial role in enhancing collaboration and inclusion between our engineering and production teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing, enhancing, and growing our capabilities at the Boeing South Carolina Engineering Design Center. As the site lead, you will have a significant impact on shaping the future state of our team. Your primary focus will be on analyzing engineering design, manufacturing, and production support requirements. You will apply industry-standard analysis methods and techniques to continuously improve and optimize solutions for complex engineering and manufacturing processes throughout the value stream. In addition to improving existing process you will also have opportunities to define processes for new tool technologies.

To excel in this role, you should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with a deep understanding of engineering design and manufacturing processes. You should also have a proven track record of successfully leading process improvement initiatives and driving positive change within a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and optimize engineering and manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, driving positive change and delivering high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions for process enhancements.
  • Develop and implement metrics to measure progress and success of process improvements.
  • Provide regular status updates to leaders from multiple functions, ensuring effective communication.
  • Gather and develop requirements for solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent

  • 2+ years of experience with lean/agile

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Experience in leading and integrating process improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge and application of Project Management
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth understanding of engineering design and manufacturing processes

Pay Range Summary:

At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.  Elements of the Total Rewards package include competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities.

The specific programs and options available to any given employee may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Mid-Level: $88,400 - $119,600

Lead Level: $108,800 - $147,200
