Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Interior Integration Design Engineer to join our team in North Charleston, SC. The successful candidate will play a critical role in facilitating the certification and delivery readiness of the Boeing 787 aircraft. This position requires a proactive individual who can work cross-functionally to address and resolve complex issues while ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the certification and delivery readiness of the 787 aircraft.
  • Utilize strong project management skills to oversee and coordinate design and manufacturing processes.
  • Apply engineering judgment to identify, analyze, and resolve design and integration challenges.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clarity and alignment on project objectives and timelines.
  • Demonstrate strong soft skills to foster teamwork and collaboration in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Influence issue resolution with a sense of urgency, ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of design and manufacturing processes to support decision-making and problem-solving efforts.
  • Document and report on project progress, challenges, and resolutions to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully managing complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Boeing 787 or similar aircraft programs.
  • Proven experience in design and manufacturing within the aerospace industry.
  • Familiarity with certification processes and regulatory requirements in the aerospace industry.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.

Pay Range Summary:

The specific programs and options available to any given employee may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Associate Level: $75,650 - $102,350

Mid-Level: $90,100 - $121,900
