Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Program Integration Manager (Level L) to join NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) Program in either New Orleans, Louisiana or Kennedy Space Center, Florida.

NASA's Space Launch System (SLS) is key to returning the United States to the Moon and sending the first astronauts on to Mars.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Integration Manager to lead continuous improvement and lean initiatives for our development and production programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in program management, process optimization, and lean methodologies. This role will be pivotal in driving operational excellence, enhancing productivity, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads and manages cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement and lean initiatives within development and production programs
  • Collaborates with program managers, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to identify areas for improvement and develop actionable plans
  • Analyzes current processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for enhancement
  • Develops and implements lean strategies, tools, and techniques to streamline operations and reduce waste
  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement by promoting lean principles and methodologies throughout the organization
  • Facilitates workshops, training sessions, and Kaizen events to engage employees in improvement initiatives
  • Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives
  • Monitors and report on progress, providing insights and recommendations to senior management
  • Builds strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and support for continuous improvement initiatives
  • Communicates effectively with team members, management, and external partners regarding project status and outcomes
  • Addresses resistance to change and promote buy-in from all team members
  • Maintains comprehensive documentation of processes, improvements, and outcomes
  • Prepares and presents reports to senior leadership on the status of continuous improvement initiatives

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • More than 5 years of experience in a leadership role (i.e., manager, project manager, team lead, etc.)
  • More than 5 years of experience creating technical content and integrating that with non-technical content
  • More than 2 years of experience working directly with executives or senior leaders
  • More than 1 year of experience leading improvement projects using continuous improvement methodologies

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field
  • More than 1 year of experience articulating and implementing strategy-to-action plans
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) hardware and software integration

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $157,250 - $212,750
