The Boeing BGS Group has an exciting opportunity for a NAA Regulatory Engineering Lead to support the NAA team in Miami, FL.

This position will apply advanced engineering technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, techniques and approaches to support product support engineering and analysis to ensure supportability, operability, sustainability, reliability, maintainability and operability of products and services throughout its lifecycle.  Also in this role, you will:

  • Review product definition, design and configuration.

  • Define, evaluate and maintain engineering supportability and maintainability requirements for products, systems and programs of advanced complexity.

  • Lead analysis of data to produce support, flight operation and maintenance equipment requirements.

  • Oversee the evaluation of engineering changes based on customer requirements and propose program changes and manage implementation of changes.

  • Manage, plan, research, develop, analyze, and design modification and repair solutions that comply with customer, regulatory, Safety and company requirements.

  • Lead planning and design criteria identification to develop innovative, integrated support and maintenance infrastructure.

  • Ensure airworthiness is continued.

  • Coordinate engineering and on-site technical assistance to customers’ products including ground support equipment, training devices, training facilities, operation facilities and maintenance facilities.

  • Review and support proposal development.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Miami, FL facility.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing technician and technical activities in support of all Flight Simulation Labs duties.

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets technician goals.

  • Acquiring resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Develops and executes Lab facility coordination, maintenance, repairs, upkeep, installation and integration of designed solutions for the labs, secure operations, and scheduling lab facility efforts.

  • Assures required calibration, accreditation, and compliance requirements of the labs are maintained.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ related experience.

  • 7+ years of experience in a leadership role (team lead, project, manager).

  • Experience working with electronics, mechanical systems in design fabrication or test troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements.

  • Experience developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Experience in Simulation or System Integration Labs design, test or integration activities.

Education/experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Summary pay range:              107,950 – 146,050
