Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Project Management Specialist Level 5 to join our Modification Services Program Management team within ‘Airframe, Performance & Systems’ (AP&S) Product Line in Long Beach CA. In this role, the focus will be on proposal development for AP&S products and services. This position will report to the Senior Manager responsible for all AP&S commercial aircraft modifications, and be accountable for all aspects of proposal, planning and execution for their respective assigned customer.

Position Responsibilities:

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Use written & communication skills to effectively develop product or services statement of work (SOW) that will satisfy airline customer requests

  • Work with the Airline Customer and the modifications Integrated Product Team (IPT) to develop SOW and ensure the overall proposal quality and accuracy relative to deliverables, capacity, costs and schedule prior to customer offer

  • Identify and manage future changes to statement of work and incorporate lessons learned for future offerings

  • Lead project execution to complete the work statement, manage performance metrics to plan, identify and coordinate resources required, and coordinate with internal and external customers to complete the project per plan

  • Close interaction with engineering, suppliers, airline customers, Q/A, operations, finance and airplane regulators

  • Work with minimal direction as part of a team

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Project / Program Management or Engineering experience in Aerospace / Aviation industry

  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partner

  • Strong business acumen

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to work independently, with minimal guidance

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) credential

  • Experience with modifications and/or repair of commercial airplanes / derivatives, preferably as Project / Program Management or Engineering, and especially modifications to airplane structures and systems

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Pay Range: $141,950.00-$192,050.00
