Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Deputy Program Management Specialist to join our dynamic team in Huntsville, AL.

As a Senior Deputy Program Management Specialist, you will be a part of an amazing and collaborative team working to ensure the continued progress and success of our PAC-3 development initiatives. A successful candidate in this position has experience managing large multi-function engineering development teams with significant support from partners and subcontractors. You are self-motivated, passionate, and driven to successfully meet technical, schedule, and cost goals while overcoming risks.  You will work closely with our Engineering Organizations and Functional Organizations to manage team execution to meet the PAC-3 business goals and objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership, oversight, and guidance to the PAC-3 development program team

  • Establishes and communicates objectives and goals to ensure team alignment and accountability

  • Coordinates program metrics; risks, issues, and opportunities (RIO); and action items to support program execution and ensure progress toward goals

  • Identifies and resolves issues associated with development program execution, implementing corrective actions and recovery plans as needed

  • Communicates technical and program-level accomplishments, challenges, and status updates to stakeholders, partners, and customers

  • Facilitates integration across major activities, teams, suppliers, partners, and customers to ensure seamless horizontal and vertical collaboration

  • Develops proposals to support procurement and contractual strategies for key suppliers and programs, aligning with company objectives

  • Manages supplier statements of work, responsibilities, authority, accountability (RAA), contractual commitments, and performance to ensure compliance and quality

  • Partners with Supply Chain to address complex technical, business, product delivery, and quality aspects of supplier and subcontractor performance

  • Leads the implementation of Program Management Best Practices to improve processes, efficiency, and execution

  • Establishes and executes customer and program communication and engagement plans to strengthen relationships and ensure alignment

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 10+ years’ experience working in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering or Program Management

  • Experience in a leadership role, leading teams or projects to successful completion

  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with stakeholders (i.e. customers, suppliers, peers and/or partners)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience developing complex RF seekers and/or electronic systems

  • Experience in managing multi-functional engineering teams

  • Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action

  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)

  • Experience working on an Integrated Product Team (IPT)

  • Experience reading and understanding engineering models, drawings, specifications and various technical documentation

Work Location:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: USD $136,850 – $185,150
