Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Lead Integrated Planning & Scheduling (IP&S) Specialist to support the Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD)/ Patriot Advanced Capability (PAC-3) team in Huntsville, AL!

The Integrated Planning & Scheduling Specialist will lead the integration across multiple contracts in the PAC-3 program. This position will lead all aspects of IP&S activities and execute the following to provide actionable, value-added products to their customers.

Position Responsibilities (Senior – Level 4):  

  • Leads, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, programs and change driven activities in accordance with project management industry

  • Leads studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), reports, risk assessments and planning efforts to determine impacts, constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives

  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case

  • Develops and establishes lead time requirements

  • Facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plan, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, techniques considered to be best practice across the industry

  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives

  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion

  • Coordinates commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies

  • Program Planning – Develop initial planning products (e.g. IMP, WBS, Master Phasing Schedule, High-Level Flows)

  • Program Scheduling – Develop and Maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)

  • Detailed Scheduling & Change Management – Develop and maintain lower-level schedules.

  • Change Integration – Manage baseline and forecast schedule changes

  • Project Management – Lead key program initiatives to improve program execution

  • Work closely with Integrated Product Team Leads, IP&S team, and program leadership to ensure alignment and integration of the IMS with other key program plans and schedules such as the Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Master Phasing Plan, Critical Path Analysis, High-Level Flow (HLF) and detailed schedules below the IMS

  • Accountable for schedule compliance, assessment of schedule risk, identification of 
    opportunities (including schedule margin planning), and providing robust/actionable performance reporting from the IMS to support and drive program management understanding and action

  • Provides training, coaching, mentoring, and leadership to lower-level employees

  • Lead/Chair Brown Room and Green Room Integration activities

  • Understand how to separate and combine tasks into efficient workflow, identify opportunities for synergy and integration, and simplify complex processes

  • Ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, engineering, or other deliverables

  • Oversees, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for highly complex or difficult projects, programs and change driven activities to execute in accordance with project management industry standards

  • Directs and provides high level studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), determines scope, reports, and oversight of planning requests

  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case

  • Develops and executes the process and strategy for the integration of plans and schedules. Consults and recommends integrated planning, scheduling, change and baseline management, processes, techniques and tools to management considered to be best practices across the industry

  • Recognized as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives

  • Authorizes commitment of resources by obtaining approvals from stakeholders

  • Oversees deployment of approved recommendations at Division, Business Unit, and/or Enterprise levels. Program Planning – Develop initial planning products (e.g. IMP, WBS, Master Phasing Schedule, High-Level Flows)

  • Program Scheduling – Develop and Maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)

  • Detailed Scheduling & Change Management – Develop and maintain lower-level schedules.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher

  • 8+ years of experience developing and maintaining integrated resource-loaded project schedules, including the use of project management tools and software such as MS Project, Milestones, Primavera, Open Plan Professional, etc

  • Knowledge and experience of scheduling practices in building and maintaining resource loaded logical linked schedules through change requests and status updates

  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) applying Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) requirements

  • Extensive experience in OPP and Microsoft Project schedule applications

  • Experience in IPMDAR/IPMAR deliverables

  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships / partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peers

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Develop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peers

  • Experience in a role demonstrating strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, proficiency with MS Office tools to prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, proposals, and Statements of Work

  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management best practices and processes

  • Proficient in Project Management theory, concepts and principles (e.g. theory of constraints, critical path methodology, and project risk management; triple constraints, project scope management, project management lifecycle etc.)

  • Experience working as a self-starter with a positive attitude, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment

  • IBR Experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range Senior (Level 4): $107,950 - $146,050

Summary pay range Lead (Level 5): $132,600 – $179,400
