At Boeing, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place. We’re committed to fostering an environment for every teammate that’s welcoming, respectful and inclusive, with great opportunity for professional growth. Find your future with us.

Global Talent Acquisition is seeking a Senior Advanced Information Technologist in Ridley Park, PA to join a growing Data Analytics & Digital Integration team within Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS). This team is tasked with transforming the way BDS data is sourced, managed, and utilized, leveraging analytics and AI to unlock insights that drive business growth and optimization.  The team supports the analytics and AI needs of internal stakeholders across BDS business programs and functions, utilizing data-driven insights to inform and enhance the entire lifecycle of BDS products.

As a Senior Data Architect, you will serve as a thought leader in designing, implementing, and managing a unified data strategy that not only supports the BDS business unit but also integrates seamlessly with critical digital transformation and modernization initiatives. You will leverage advanced data structures, modeling principles, and cutting-edge technologies to significantly enhance our analytics capabilities and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Your key responsibilities will include defining semantic models for BDS data, structuring this data to maximize its utilization and uncover new insights, and establishing common data model standards that ensure consistency and interoperability across various platforms. Additionally, you will establish a strategic framework that aligns investments and the development of the BDS data strategy with key business outcomes, ensuring that our data initiatives are directly tied to the overall goals of the organization. By fostering collaboration and innovation, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how BDS leverages data to achieve its strategic objectives.

This role requires a resourceful, self-driven, outcome-oriented individual with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to partner, execute, and communicate skillfully while solving complex problems in dynamic environments. The ideal candidate will have experience with large-scale data platforms, enterprise architecture, data structures and models, and domain expertise across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain functions.

Position Responsibilities:

·         Define and Manage Unified Data Strategy: Develop and oversee a comprehensive unified data strategy for Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), collaborating with various programs and functions as part of a formal data stewardship program. This includes ensuring that data governance practices are integrated into all aspects of data management and utilization.

·         Establish and Standardize Data Models: Create, standardize, and maintain common data models for BDS to enhance data utilization and facilitate the generation of actionable business insights. This involves working with stakeholders to ensure that data models are aligned with business needs and can adapt to evolving requirements.

·         Drive Data Stewardship Initiatives: Formulate and implement a strategic plan to enhance data stewardship across the BDS business unit. This includes promoting best practices in data management, ensuring data quality, and fostering a culture of accountability and ownership among data stewards.

·         Align Data Investments with Business Outcomes: Establish and manage a robust framework that aligns key data investments and activities with desired business outcomes and organizational values. This framework will guide decision-making processes and prioritize initiatives that deliver the greatest impact on business performance.

·         Monitor Progress and Manage Risks: Oversee the progress of data initiatives against established plans, proactively managing risks and identifying opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with team members, program leadership, stakeholders, and customers to ensure transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

·         Collaborate with Technical Organizations: Work closely with partner and enterprise technical organizations to develop and execute joint strategies, roadmaps, and aligned execution plans. This collaboration will ensure that data architecture and analytics initiatives are integrated across the organization, maximizing the value derived from data assets.
