The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Multi-Skill Engineering Manager (M) to join our Government Training Engineering (GTE) team. In this role, you will lead design and production engineering managers and their respective teams. You will be responsible for driving functional excellence across electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering, as well as our Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) team, ensuring integration across the Government Training portfolio. The GTE Air Dominance, Vertical Lift, and Mobility Surveillance & Bombers teams are responsible for the design and development of aircrew & maintenance training devices. 

As an engaged leader, you will champion cultural and functional changes aimed at achieving execution excellence for our portfolio of Government Training programs. A successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Boeing’s design practices, with expertise in prototyping and design for manufacturing. They will possess a strong technical background, enabling them to provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. Their experience in Design and Production Engineering will ensure the successful translation of simulator designs into high-quality, scalable products.

Team portfolios consist of:

  • Vertical Lift: AH-64, CH-47, MH-139, V-22, Little Bird
  • Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers: P-8, C-17, E-7, B-52, ASC2, KC-46, SAOC, C-32, C-40, E-4B, E-6, VC-25B
  • Air Dominance: F-15, T-7A, MQ-25, F/A-18, F-22, T-45, T-38 & Proprietary

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads managers of teams performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electrical, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Lead Design and Production Engineering portfolio teams, ensuring engineering work statement execution aligned with quality, safety, cost & delivery objectives
  • Attract and efficiently allocate resources for stable execution of engineering work scope
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports
  • Provide oversight and approval of technical strategies, products and processes
  • Manage, mentor, and develop First Line Leaders (FLLs) and Individual Contributors (ICs) 
  • Builds relationships to gain support and commitment from others, promotes ideas with enthusiasm and conviction.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors, Master's, or Doctorate of Science degree from an ABET accredited course of study in a STEM field
  • 10+ years of experience leading engineering teams 
  • 3+ years’ experience as a CAM (cost account manager) in EVM (earned value management)
  • 3+ years’ experience utilizing Design Practices
  • 3+ years’ of experience managing people, programs, and budgets.
  • Experience designing, building, or supporting aircrew & maintenance training devices
  • Experience developing requirements and performing requirements decomposition
  • Willing and able to travel occasionally to support customer needs

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience and demonstrated ability to create an environment of inclusion, transparency, and trust, executing with strong values
  • Experience working with BGS Production Systems CMPro and GOLD

Summary pay range: $178,500 – $241,500
