The Boeing Company is looking for three (3) Estimating and Pricing Managers (Level K) based out of Hazelwood or Saint Charles, Missouri.

As an Estimating and Pricing Manager, you will lead a team of estimators responsible for a range of estimating activities, including proposal submissions for future contracts, updates to government contracts, and ongoing cost analysis. You will direct the team in supporting government audits and negotiations while overseeing labor and material estimating, cost proposals, and financial analyses. These positions focus on providing guidance and support to ensure the team's effectiveness and success in their operations.

A summary of the available positions is provided below. The candidate is not required to be interested in all three positions. Preferences and best fit for the individual roles will be considered during the interview and selection process.

Acquisition Center – Hiring Manager Jean Padawan

The candidate for this position will partner with the existing Acquisition Center Leadership Team to support new and developing estimating talent. The Saint Louis Acquisition Center supports multiple divisions and platforms including Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers; Air Dominance; and Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems. We are dedicated to the training and support of future talent and leaders through focus on quality and the use of common processes and tools.

Production Operations/Air Dominance – Hiring Manager Michael Higdon

The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for production operations estimating, gaining broad experience and visibility working with programs including F-15, F/A-18, Chinook, MQ-25, KC-135, B-52 and more. The candidate will also be responsible for select additional aspects of the F-15 and T-7 programs supporting significant projected growth across United States Government (USG) and International customers. Estimating activities involve engagement with all stakeholders in support of these campaigns. The selected candidate will continue to develop and drive the estimating team’s selection of methodologies and approaches to fulfill proposal and cost estimate requirements.

Weapons – Hiring Manager Mitch Rentfro

The candidate for this position will be responsible for the Cruise Missile Systems portfolio of products, primarily located in Saint Charles, MO. These products include Harpoon, SLAM-ER, and related products and programs. Estimating activities involve engagement with all stakeholders in the support of United States Government (USG) and International customer contracts. The selected candidate will continue to develop and drive the estimating team’s selection of methodologies and approaches to fulfill proposal and cost estimate requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage government estimating employees performing estimates, cost or price proposals, business case development and risk, financial and competitive analyses

  • Engage with program, site, and business unit customers, including Defense Contract Audit Agency/Defense Contract Management (DCAA/DCMA) on topics related to estimates, proposals, and estimating system

  • Develop process improvements with the goal of improving efficiency, quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction

  • Identify, collect and monitor appropriate metrics to ensure performance

  • Create development plans for team members including coaching, mentoring, knowledge transfer and developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities

  • Establish partnerships and relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports

  • Acquire resources for functional excellence activities, provide technical management and lead process improvements

  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, data driven strategies, products, and processes

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience with government contracts

  • 3+ years of experience building proposals utilizing pricing systems, estimating and pricing tools and processes

  • 3+ years of experience leading a team or project

  • Experience preparing and presenting succinctly to executives, senior leadership, and external customers

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, business or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in performing cost estimating/pricing function

  • Experience performing various estimating methodologies (labor, material, etc.)

  • Experience streamlining processes/tools and developing talent

  • Experience working with large cross-functional teams

Pay and Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $124,950 - $169,050
