Boeing Poland is currently looking for an Experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our Production Engineering Fabrication Team in Gdańsk or Rzeszów, Poland to support the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) division.

Successful candidate will recognize the importance of cross-functional collaboration, technical and analytical problem-solving; and whom have a passion for demonstrating supporting actions daily.

The candidate will join the team of Manufacturing Engineers and Planners in Boeing Engineering & Technology Centers in Poland and will be responsible for Production Engineering Fabrication Manufacturing Engineering (ME) work statements, supporting the production of various parts, assemblies, and aggregates for commercial airplane programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, and maintains various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration

  • Develops manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives

  • Develops and integrates suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements

  • Reviews and approves supplier data to ensure manufacturing-related requirements are met

  • Develops tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements

  • Investigates and resolves manufacturing technical related issues

  • Performs producibility assessments for part or product designs

  • Provides producibility input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules

  • Develops integrated work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments

  • Performs engineering changes impact assessment, develops incorporation plans, validates and concurs production changes

  • Drafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements

  • Supports the implementation of Lean principles and technologies

  • Supports other team members as mentor/checker to meet engineering commitments

  • Represents the team by providing solutions to technical issues associated with specific projects

  • Leads/Guides a group of less experienced team members if needed due to project/team structure

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 3+ years of related work experience or equivalent technical education

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering documentation, including drawings and specifications

  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and relevant international standards

  • Familiarity with PLM/PDM and Configuration Management principles

  • Advanced knowledge of design concepts and techniques

  • Advanced knowledge of tool functions and capabilities (e.g., indexing, fixturing, handling) to support the manufacturing processes and flow

  • Intermediate or higher English language proficiency

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years’ experience in an aerospace manufacturing production environment, experience with entire value stream of detail part to assembly integration value stream

  • Knowledge of aircraft certification processes and regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA)

  • Knowledge of Boeing's organizations, processes, program plans, policies and procedures, and products required to effectively perform functional responsibilities of the occupation

  • Knowledge of aerospace products development lifecycle, build plan artifacts, and Lean production system principles
