Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Supply Chain Vendor Assistant Manager (Level K) to join our Everett Delivery Center (EDC) team in Everett, WA.  Must be willing and able to work any shift (Must be able & willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.

The Supply Chain Vendor Assist Manager (Level K) will lead the vendor assist team at the Everett Delivery Center. This team is responsible for managing all onsite supplier work for the factory and field, and ensuring supplier performance to meet critical airplane milestones. This unique Supply Chain role has the ability to directly impact Boeing Commercial Airplanes overall business plan performance. In this role, you’ll work closely with both internal teams and external partners, including the FAA representatives and airline customers, ensuring clear communication and accountability across all stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, or Quality. This candidate should have experience motivating others to meet challenging business goals and objectives; the ability to handle multiple and competing tasks simultaneously; and the ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams to meet business requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Quality Management System (QMS) requirements as they relate to our stakeholders, customers, and the FAA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Act as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier related activities for onsite work in Everett
  • Manages Procurement Field Representative employees performing activities related to supplier assessment, supplier capability and ensuring suppliers deliver on time and in compliance with contract requirements.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, or other related functions
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating and communicating across functions and organizations
  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams
  • 3+ years of experience with strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
  • 3+ years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
  • Knowledge of MPR, CMES, Velocity, Redars, PDM
  • Proven ability to executes on commitments
  • Experience utilizing strategic decision making to drive business results

Summary pay range (Level K) - $ 126,300 - $146,400
