Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Front-Line Lean Practitioner Manager (Level K) to lead the BCA Lean South (Fabrication) team in Auburn and Everett, WA.

We are looking for a people-centric, inspiring leader with an affinity for engaging others in continuous improvement to perform the following responsibilities.

Position Responsibilities:   

  • Leads employees performing Lean improvement strategies for the production system

  • Develops and implements project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals. Prepares and reviews progress reports as required

  • Ensures projects are completed per plan; determines and implements mitigation as needed

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, peers, partners, and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes

  • Leads, develops, and inspires employees to exceed organizational and customer objectives

  • Leads the team through its Lean transformation and applies supporting daily management and continuous improvement practices

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in both Auburn and Everett, WA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience using LEAN principles

  • 3+ years of experience implementing Lean manufacturing principles in a production system

  • 3+ years of experience in leadership either formally or informally leading teams in a cross-functional environment

  • 3+ years of experience in teaching, coaching and developing others

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience leading the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and the Boeing Production System

  • 3+ years of experience coaching others in BPS/Lean principles, practices, and tools

  • Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience

  • Experience coaching team members and leaders in an operations environment influencing others

  • Competency in design/build prototype, Lean knowledge, process management skills and project leadership

  • Ability to occasionally work varied shifts when needed

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Proficient in basic MS Office suite

Shift:

This role is primarily 1st shift; however, additional shifts may be required to support program objectives.

Pay & Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range: $127,000 – $147,000
