The Boeing Company is seeking a highly motivated Commercial Product Development Estimating Manager to join our Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Product Development team in Everett, WA.

This critical leadership role involves managing a team of Estimating Analysts responsible for developing estimates, cost models, and business cases in support of Boeing Commercial strategies, new airplane programs, and production system initiatives. You will oversee a variety of estimating deliverables, including change estimates, program directives, complex business cases, and cost modeling analyses. Collaboration with business and engineering stakeholders will be essential to ensure optimal cost and quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage employees performing estimates, cost or price proposals, business case development, risk assessments, and financial and competitive analyses

  • Support daily activities, including Statement of Work (SOW) development, management reviews, problem-solving, and employee development

  • Build and maintain relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, customers, collaborators, peers, partners, and direct reports

  • Lead a highly technical team of estimators

  • Provide oversight and approval of economic analyses in support of business and engineering decision-making (e.g., trade studies, technical option evaluations)

  • Review estimates, business cases, costs, and pricing across the design, build, retrofit, and aftermarket support stages of programs

  • Approve analyses and provide recommendations (e.g., risk, financial) in support of pricing and estimating decisions

  • Guide team members in developing cost models for engineering and finance use

  • Develop strategies and structured approaches to problem-solving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Make recommendations to management using financial and business expertise

  • Ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables

  • Provide strong leadership to strengthen team performance and support organizational goals

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in a finance-related position (e.g., Estimating, Financial Operations, Revenue Management, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA))

  • 3+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Experience in estimating with demonstrated leadership skills

  • Experience with developing team members, adaptability to change, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and engage with leadership

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $185,000 - $250,700
