Boeing Global Services, Consumables & Expendables (C&E) Distribution Business is looking for a Procurement Agent (Level 2) for our Burgess Hill, UK facility. 

The Procurement Agent will be an integral member of the Boeing Distribution Procurement team.  Provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance. Leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions. Prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements. Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions. Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues. Leads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities. Participates on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies.

As Procurement Agent:

  • You are responsible for the purchase of consumables for the aviation industry and carry out tenders (RFQ/RFP) and bid comparisons

  • You independently conduct negotiations and agreements with national and international suppliers and constantly demonstrate your negotiating and communication skills

  • You analyze and evaluate statistical data and create a basis for optimized procurement strategies and efficient price negotiations

  • Your tasks also include supplier recommendation and selection

  • You work cross-functionally and with suppliers to find solutions to payment issues

Requirements:

  • You have completed a commercial apprenticeship, primarily as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk, industrial clerk or similar, or a degree in supply chain management or similar.

  • You have initial experience in purchasing

  • Very good written and spoken English skills are a matter of course for you

  • Experienced use of the MS Office package, especially Excel, makes your daily work easier

Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.

Work Authorization:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorization to work immediately in the UK.
